colorpicker.uk ("we", "our", "the site") is a free collection of online color tools. We have built the site to need as little of your information as possible. This policy explains what is and is not collected when you use it.

Every color picker, converter, palette, gradient and accessibility tool on this site runs entirely inside your web browser. Colors you pick and images you open are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to, stored on, or seen by our servers.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or payment details to use the tools. If you choose to contact us, we use the details you provide only to reply to your message. When you use an image tool, the picture stays on your device; it is read by your browser only to sample its colors and is discarded when you leave the page.

Information stored on your device

Some tools save small preferences, such as your last chosen color or settings, in your browser using local storage. This data lives only on your device, is never transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

Cookies and analytics

The color tools themselves do not need cookies to work. The site does use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to show advertising through Google AdSense (see the next section), and, if basic privacy-respecting analytics are enabled, to count visits in aggregate without identifying individual users. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the tools will keep working.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google and its advertising partners are third-party vendors that use cookies, including the Google DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites on the internet. These cookies let Google and its partners show you personalised ads and measure how ads perform.

Third-party services

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, advertising scripts from Google AdSense, and a small number of icons or images from a content host. When your browser requests these files, the providers may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type, as described in their own privacy policies. We do not share any personal data with them.

Children’s privacy

The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
